Membership FAQ
SAPS offers two types of membership – Full membership and Student membership.
Student members enjoy the same privileges and access to materials as full members, except that they do not hold voting rights.
To apply for Audiologist membership, you need to have a recognised degree in audiology AND be actively working as an audiologist in Singapore.
To apply for Student membership, you need to be a current student in the field of audiology in Singapore e.g. students in the NUS MSc Audiology programme.
Please note that the SAPS constitution does not allow us to grant Audiologist membership to qualified audiologists who are not working as an audiologist in Singapore.
Yes, the annual membership fees (per calendar year) are listed below.
Full membership: SGD 120.00
Student membership: SGD 36.00
Applications received after the annual registration exercise will be subjected to a late registration fee of SGD 50.00 (for full members) and SGD 10.00 (for student members).
No, the membership is renewable yearly. Membership fees are also payable on a calendar year basis. Members will be invited to renew their membership via email at the early part of each year (Q1).
Membership is issued for that particular calendar year. You can convert your Student membership to Audiologist membership at the next registration exercise by selecting the type of membership that you are applying for. You will be required to upload the necessary documents to prove that you have completed your studies in audiology.
Committee members are elected during the Annual General Meeting every two years.
There are various standing committees for ad-hoc events or projects initiated by the Committee, which you can always volunteer to be part of. Announcements will be made through email or Facebook group updates to members as and when these standing committees are formed.
